The Election Commission in Hyderabad has tied up with the local postal department for faster creation and despatch of voter ID cards. If the move is successful, long winding queues to acquire election (voter's) ID card might just become a thing of past.
The document must have the person's photo - such as an electoral I-card, driving licence and ration card.

The election office said that Amar Singh was allowed to vote after he furnished his driving licence to prove his identity.
