
The latest edition of the short Oxford Dictionary has a new surprise in store. The two-volume short Oxford English Dictionary has done away with 16, 000 hyphens in an attempt to give way to the growing usage of SMS and email language.
Bumble-bee is now bumblebee, ice-cream is ice cream and pot-belly is pot belly.
