25 pc voter turnout in Chhattisgarh; Maoists kill 6

An estimated 25 percent voters of Chhattisgarh's 15.4 million voters exercised their franchise by 1230 hrs IST on Thursday in the state's 11 Lok Sabha seats amid violence by Maoists who killed five polling staff and a security guard. Officials here estimate that 25 to 28 percent voters exercised their franchise at 20,967 polling booths by noon.
