The protest against the hike in electricity charges by Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Energy Ltd had tuned violent on Wednesday and police had resorted to lathi charge to disperse a group of Shiv Sena workers who disrupted traffic on the Western Express Highway.
The protest was against the power company's move to hike electricity prices.
