The Maharashtra government banned dance bars two years ago, and claims the flesh trade flourishing at these joints has been eliminated. Dance bars and the not-so-secret flesh trade at these places continue to flourish. Pimps offer to supply women at bars which officially are under watch for illegal activities. At some bars policemen actually stand outside bars and turn a blind eye to what goes inside.
