Parliament on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the terrorist attack on Mumbai: a rare show of political solidarity in the country. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resolution condemned "the heinous terrorist attacks in Mumbai". Singh apologised to the country for the "dastardly act could not be prevented". He promised that the country's security apparatus would be improved.
