At least 20 pilgrims were killed and about 65 injured when a truck carrying them from the Naina Devi in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh overturned near Anandpur Sahib early Tuesday, police said. The injured were rushed to the government hospital in Anandpur Sahib for treatment. Six of them, who were in serious condition, were taken to the Post-graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research at Chandigarh, 100 km from the accident spot, police officials said.
Fresh cases of death came to notice on Tuesday when the relatives reported.
