Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil has asked Orissa Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare to send a report on whether the state needs to put under President's rule. Patil spoke to Governor Bhandare on Saturday afternoon and discussed the situation in the state. The Union Home Minister had on Friday sent a strongly-worded letter to Orissa Chief Minster Naveen Patnaik asking him to do more to control the violence.
