A film about the love story of former India prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Lady Edwina Mountbatten has been shelved after objections from the Indian Government. According to reports, Universal Studios cancelled the historical drama largely due to budgetary constraints, but director Joe Wright spoke of creative differences between the film's producers and the Indian Government. CNN-IBN was joined by Outlook Editor-In-Chief, Vinod Mehta and Counselage Managing Partner, Suhel Seth to debate whether the project should have been shelved or not.
The film was to go on the floor in India early next year.
