India, China playing major role in economic recovery: IMF

India and China with their large economies growing at 7 per cent and 10 per cent respectively are playing a significant role in global economic recovery, according to a top International Monetary Fund official. After annual Article IV consultations with India last month, IMF has projected India's growth to reach 6.75 per cent for the fiscal year ending on March, 2010, and then rising to 8 percent for the year ending on March, 2011.
