Alistair Perriera to walk free, Supreme Court grants bail

Alistair Perriera, sentenced to 3-years rigorous imprisonment for mowing down 7 people in Mumbai got bail from the Supreme Court on Monday. Pereira had filed a petition in Supreme Court challenging the High Court verdict sentencing him to 3 years' rigorous imprisonment. Seven persons, including a pregnant woman and two children were run over on November 12 last year when Pereira driving home with his friends after a late-night party.

TEH ACCUSED: The driver of the car, Allister Perreira, is an engineering student and at 21, he was the only one permitted to drink.

Common thread in hit-and-run case

The six young students accused in the hit-and-run case were just like any other teenagers till the early hours November 2 last year.
