All movies and TV programmes will be screened to ensure that they don't contain smoking scenes—that was Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss’s message on World World No-Tobacco Day. One million people die due in the country each year due to tobacco-related ailments. Tobacco costs the country Rs 30,833 crore per annum as health costs. Reason, says Ramadoss, he is going to make anti-tobacco laws more stringent. From August, cigarette packs and tobacco products will have to carry pictorial warnings.
